What you will need ~

  • Greaseproof paper
  • Scissors
  • A 9" x 12" baking tin
  • Small Bowl
  • Large Bowl
  • A saucepan
  • Electric whisk
  • Spatula
  • Knife
  • Chopping board
  • Wooden spoon
  • Piping bag
  • Pink food colouring
  • Mini eye sprinkles

Ingredients ~

  • 200 gm Butter
  • 100 gm Milk Chocolate
  • 100 gm Dark Chocolate
  • 100 gm Plain Flour
  • 50 gm Cocoa Powder
  • 270 gm Caster Sugar
  • 3 Large Eggs (Free range because we love chickens)
  • 100 gm White Chocolate Bar

Method ~

  • Line your baking tin with greaseproof paper.
  • Preheat your oven to 180 degrees.
  • Create a "bain-marie" by filling the saucepan with some water and place a small heat resistant bow on top.
  • Heat the water until simmering, the carefully add the butter, dark and milk chocolate to the bowl. Melt together until nice and smooth.
  • Remove the bowl from the saucepan. Set aside and leave to cool.
  • In the large bowl, whisk the sugar and eggs together until they are fluffy and have increased in volume. This can take a few minutes.
  • Gently, pour in the melted chocolate mixture on top of the eggs and sugar mix, and fold together with your spatula.
  • Next, add in your cocoa powder and flour, and again, fold through until the mixture is fully combined.
  • Pour your brownie mixture into the lined baking tin.
  • Bake in the middle of the oven for 25 -35 minutes. (Until it is firm around the edges, while still slightly soft in the middle).
  • Remove from the oven and leave it to cool completely while in the tin.
  • When completely cooled, pop into your fridge to cool further as this helps to form that yummy chocolatey gooey centre.

Decorate ~

  • Break up your White Chocolate and pop into a small bowl.
  • Microwave in short bursts until this has melted.
  • Stir using a clean spatula to ensure no lumps remain.
  • Add a few drops of pink food coloring  and stir. Add more until you reach your preferred shade.
  • Take your brownie out from the fridge and use a knife to cut into squares.
  • They should come away easily from the greaseproof paper.
  • Take your piping bag and pour in the pink chocolate.
  • Twist the bag in an anti clockwise motion.
  • Take the scissors and cut the end of the piping bag so that the chocolate can come out easily.
  • Squeeze the bag with the pink chocolate over the brownie squares in a "criss cross" motion to give a mummy bandage appearance.
  • While the pink chocolate is still warm, add 2 mini eye sprinkles to each brownie square to complete the Mummy look. Serve and enjoy!

Totally Spookalicious!!
